2020 Grant Award for Words into Music Awarded by ArtsWestchester Mount Vernon Arts Initiative
Pamela's new grant project Words into Music is an original idea that involves interviews with community members about their memories. Their responses/words and feelings will be the inspiration for her upcoming instrumental composition titled Words into Music. The grant project will culminate in a free, public performance on Saturday, April 11th at noon in Mt Vernon.
A Man, a Mandolin, and the Moon
Premiered in 20019, Mandolin on the Moon was composed to celebrate the first manned lunar landing in 1969. Written for mandolin, violin, viola, cello.
Upcoming Cuban Premiere
Festival de la Habana will present Eight Strings and a Whistle performing the Cuban premiere of Pamela Sklar's trio Third Eye. Written for flute, viola and cello, the trio's playing of this music may begin to open your third eye.
